Radar Mount - Guide

Thank you for purchasing the 3D Printed Rear Radar Mount. This universal mount is designed to work with several popular cycling radar and light devices, including models from Garmin, Wahoo, Magene, Ravemen, and Bryton.

The mount uses interchangeable quarter-turn inserts, allowing it to be configured for different radar brands. The orientation of the insert determines which device it will support.

Insert Orientation

  • Garmin (Varia series) – Tabs oriented horizontally

  • Magene Radar Units – Tabs oriented vertically

  • Bryton Radar Units – Uses a separate Bryton-specific insert

  • Wahoo Trakr - Uses a specfic mount and is rietend horizontally

Make sure the correct insert is installed and oriented properly before mounting your radar device.

Installation Tips

  1. Seat Post Fit
The mount is designed to flex slightly to fit around your seat post. Carefully open the mount just enough to slide it onto the post.  Spreading it too far may cause the mount to crack or break.

  2. Mount Angle
For proper radar alignment, install the mount so the top portion angles slightly back toward the seat post.
    Example orientation:
    Seat Post \ Mount

  3.  When tightening the mounting screw, only tighten it enough so the mount does not turn. Over-tightening can break the mount.

  4. Frame Protection
To protect your seat post finish, we recommend applying at least one layer of electrical tape or protective frame tape where the mount contacts the post.

  5. Safety Tether Recommended
While the mount is designed to hold your radar securely, we strongly recommend using a small lanyard or tether as an added safeguard. This provides extra protection in the unlikely event the device becomes loose during a ride

  6. If during installation—either while placing the mount around the seat post or while tightening the screw—you hear a cracking sound, please stop using the mount immediately. This can occasionally happen if the mount is flexed or the screws are over tightened more than needed during installation. If this occurs, do not continue using the mount, as it may no longer be secure.
