🐻 The Bearly Family – A Woodland History
Tucked deep in the Adirondack pines, where the trails twist like stories and the lakes shimmer like polished glass, lives the Bearly Family — a trio of warm-hearted black bears who’ve always preferred doing things the human way.
Bo Bear – Dad
Bo Bear, known in the forest as Officer Bo, is the calm, steady protector of
theirwoodland community. Whether he’s keeping the peace among
mischievousraccoons, helping a lost hiker find the right trail, or gliding
across a frozen pondfor a pickup hockey game, Bo always brings a sense
of safety (and usually athermos of hot cocoa).
Beatrice Bear – Mom
Beatrice — Bea to her family — is the fiery soul of the clan. A dedicated
volunteer firefighter, she’s always ready when the woodland alarm bell rings.
In between saving the day, she’s happiest packing canoe lunches, sharpening
ski edges, or cheering at Bailey’s games while knitting a scarf that’s somehow
already too big.
Bailey Bear – The Cub
Bailey is the spark plug of the family — adventurous, curious, and always
trying something new. One day he’s skiing, the next he’s paddling a canoe,
and by the weekend he’s insisting they all go golfing even though he’s still
using a junior-sized club. Bailey lives for hockey, football, hiking, and any chance to explore with Mom and Dad.
Grandpa Gus Bearly – The Family’s Roots
No Bearly story is complete without Grandpa Gus Bearly, the wise old farmer who lives just down the trail. Gu farms the meadows near the lake, growing blueberries, sweet corn, and anything else he can keep the deer from snacking on. But what he loves most — more than honey, more than Sunday naps — is his trusty old tractor.
If you hear a slow putt-putt-putt echoing through the trees, that’s Gus Bearly, cruising around proudly like he’s in a parade.
What Brings Them Together
The Bearlys are a family built on adventure and service. Some of their favorite things to do together:
-
Hiking up mountain paths that smell like pine and possibility
-
Camping beside lakes where the stars look close enough to touch
-
Skiing until their fur frosts over
-
Canoeing through quiet coves in the early morning mist
-
Golfing with mismatched clubs and way too many mulligans
-
Hockey & Football, because competition is more fun when you’re cheering as a family
-
Outdoor anything, as long as there’s fresh air and a good story waiting
-
The Heart of the Bearly Legacy
From Bo’s steady leadership, to Bea’s brave spirit, Bailey’s unshakable curiosity, and Grandpa Gus’s down-home wisdom, the Bearly family shows that life is best spent exploring, protecting each other, and having a little fun along the way.
